The SAN (Safe Auto Needle) family consists a variety of injecting devices. Considered under the categories of Sharps Injury Prevention (SIP) Devices and Safety Engineered Devices (SED), the SANs are targeted to enable safe and easy-to-use injecting experience of a wide range of formulations for patients with different needs. The SANs are designed for use with variety of syringes or primary drug containers: conventional plastic hypodermics, single- or dual-chamber prefilled syringes made of glass or plastic, or vials.
The SAN’s user may be either an HCP or a self-injecting patient, and therefore, the SANs offer variety of features, such as automatic needle insertion, passive-automatic sharps protection, and a hidden needle along the whole injection process, etc.’
